Frequently Asked Questions

01

How did you become a dog trainer?

2.jpeg

I spent eight years as an English Teacher in Secondary Schools. Whilst on a year-long sabbatical to study a masters in Shakespeare in London, I went to Battersea and adopted Ezra, my big, deaf, American Bulldog. To say he was a challenge is an understatement, but I didn’t want to give up on him like his previous homes had, so I threw myself into learning everything I could to help him with his many challenges. I began taking courses and working for dog trainers as an assistant whilst rehabilitating my boy. After three years of learning, shadowing trainers, and adopting two more challenging dogs of my own, I took the leap to open my own dog training business to help dogs and their humans, and I haven’t looked back.

What training methods do you use?

I am completely committed to using modern, kind, and effective dog training based on the latest science and my years of practical experience. I believe that all dogs deserve to be trained free from pain, fear, or intimidation and I will never ask you to do anything with your dogs that would cause them (or you) discomfort.

Do you train in person or online?

I primarily work with people from around the world online, and offer select in-person training in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

06

How does online dog training work?

Not only is it possible, but for many dogs and their humans, it works better. With my system, you have unlimited access to your trainer and mini training sessions daily in your home and out on your walks and adventures. You get videos of your training homeworks which you can watch as many times as you need; someone to keep you accountable; and training that fits in around your busy schedule. What’s more, you get all of that for a month for less than some trainers or behaviourists charge for one session.

How do I know if your training will work for my dog?

Every training plan is individually tailored to your dog, your environment and you. When creating your training plan, I will take into account your dog’s breed, age, learning history and much more to ensure you are making progress from day one. Every training plan starts with a free telephone consultation to allow you to ask as many questions as you need to decide whether I am the right trainer for you.

How do I book training with you?

The best way to get in touch is to book a free 30 minute consultation call with Kit to speak about you and your dog’s individual training needs. Just click here  and select a time that works for you.
